Congratulations to Shirin & Hyder on their First Wedding Anniversary!    We were booked for their actual wedding a year ago, so Shirin had us photograph their first wedding anniversary shoot.  They flew all the way from Texas to have their session and thankfully, our Chicago weather obliged.  With impending rain, it just gave us enough time to photograph them.  Shirin & Hyder, you’re a beautiful couple!  More blessings to you as husband and wife and thank you for choosing Misha Media!

“Oooh I want to do a mini-session…. wait what the heck is a mini-session?,”  you ask.  A mini-session is a photo session at a predetermined location which includes 30 minutes of photography, unlimited photos, complimentary 8×10 photo and an online gallery for ordering all for $75!  Mini sessions can be used for anything from family portraits, kids portraits, engagement photos, head shots, anytime photos (you don’t need to have a reason to have great photos taken) or after shoots ( for brides and grooms that want to get dressed up again!)  We are offering these sessions before our wedding season begins and time is limited.  When was the last time you had your photographs taken professionally?  We are offering these sessions at a discounted price because we want you to capture this moment in time with your loved ones… as you know, we are not getting any younger :)

Waaaaaay back in the day, I used to dance… Danced throughout high school with the Addison Trail Pom Squad AKA the Blazettes!  Yessss!  Oh the good old days… Although I don’t dance anymore, I still love to watch people groove and strut their stuff.  My sister loved to dance as well and she was part of a Chicago dance crew called ReDefinition.  They can dance… like really D A N C E!  If you love to dance, they host workshops as well!   Click on this link on Facebook to get the latest news!  This year, they are hosting Prelude Midwest Urban Dance Competition which is this coming Friday, April 17, 2010!  Click on the link to purchase tickets before they sell out!  This is not to be missed.  The best of the Midwest… who will it be?!

A few years ago, we had the opportunity to photograph ReDef at the Millenium Park in Chicago.  We had so much fun!  Thanks everyone!  Would love to have another shoot!  Holllaaaaa! :)

During our WPPI convention a couple of weeks ago in Las Vegas, I had the opportunity to shoot along side 8 very talented photographers from all over the world.  AC and Raphael of Vanity Bride had set up the shoot with fashion designer Ermelinda Manos.  I was blown away with all the enthusiasm from the group.  I have never photographed a fashion shoot before, so it was all new to me!

Andy and I were blessed to have met such great photographer friends.  Aside from being great photographers, they are great people! Happy World Nutella Day! Yummmm… seriously,  who doesn’t love Nutella?!  It was love at first taste for me.  The first time I had Nutella was in crepe.  There’s really nothing quite like it.  Even writing this blog post makes my mouth water!

The Art of Two Tarts blog is by 2 of my clients, Maria & Lisa. They love to cook and bake and they have been blogging since last year.  They have such a passion for cooking that I wanted to share their blog with everyone.  In fact, here are some Nutella recipes from their blog!  Now go and celebrate World Nutella Day by making your own!  Aside from Nutella recipes, they also love to make cupcakes.  Here are some shots of them icing their red velvet cupcakes.    So if you enjoy cooking and are always up for new recipes, definitely follow their blog, The Art of Two Tarts!

When I met Maria for her bridal consultation in November 2008, I never knew our relationship would flourish into something so much more than photographer/bride… never knew that we would have the honor of being part of their family’s lives by photographing two of her sisters (Lisa & Phyllis) weddings later this year as well.  Thank you for your friendship…

And last but not least, it was a nice surprise when they gave us our own cupcakes after the session… Misha Media Red Velvet Cupcakes!

We had the honor and privilege to photograph the Clark family!  Desmond Clark plays tight end for the Chicago Bears, #88.  As a huge Bears fan, you can imagine my nervousness and excitement when we first spoke on the phone.  I think I spent the first 3 minutes (ok maybe just 2 minutes) telling him how big of a fan I am of the Chicago Bears  :)  It was truly a pleasure to meet his wife, Denise, along with their twin girls “A” and “G”.

Also, congratulations on the win yesterday!  As faithful Bears fans, we were watching like many other Chicagoans!

It was really chilly when we first started our photo session, so we started out with jumping jacks to get us all warmed up!  Thank you for braving the winds!

We  heard “fuzzy pickles and fuzzy pizzas, and fuzzy anything you can think of…” all day from the girls “A” and “G” — which made it so much fun!  They were coming up with some really creative nouns.

This is a ‘rock the dress’ session with Michelle & Dylan.  They are planning to have a small intimate wedding later this summer, but they didn’t want to miss out on photography so they called us!  We photographed at their favorite spots in Chicago and we all had a blast!    Michelle & Dylan found Misha Media through Yelp!

I had such a blast during Maria & John’s E-session last Friday!  It was such a nice breezy day and hardly anybody was at the Chicago Botanic Garden.  I think everyone was heading out of town for the long weekend so we were lucky to have it semi-empty :)  I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in September!
