Get to know Jim better! We had the opportunity to interview Jim and here’s what he said:
- How did you get started? A buddy of mine and I started creating wedding photo montages for friends, which eventually led us to filming actual weddings. That was back in 2000.
- What makes you unique in your industry? I approach each wedding video as if it was mine. I believe if I get bored, my clients will get bored. So I try to make the shooting and editing as fun and enjoyable as possible.
- Three words that describe your business. 1) Approachable 2) Flexible 3) Ardent
- What is your favorite part of the wedding process concerning your job? When I roll tape on the first shot at the very beginning of the day. It’s like putting the first paint on a canvas.
- What do you love most about your job? Being able to put together the pieces in post-production and seeing it in final product. Now that gets me excited.
- What is the biggest misconception about your industry? The biggest misconception is videography is not as important as photography. That wedding videos can’t be art. I strongly believe that wedding videography is so much more than just documenting the day.
- What is playing on your IPOD? David Crowder Band, OK Go
- Tell me 5 random things about yourself… 1) Love watching movies 2) Love to sit at cafes and edit videos 3) Love to travel 4) Love my iPods and iPhone 5) Love my girlfriend who I’m absolutely crazy about
